Introducing the band - Copthorne Carnival -  June 2011

Scott is Jake Blues and his musical experience (in addition to singing Scott plays keys, sax, drums and guitar) and vast show business experience ranges from working singing in soul bands, nationwide theatres and festivals, through to profile corporate events, as well as performing with  Blues Brothers International band in Russia in 2010 !

Ant is Elwood Blues and plays harmonica, sings, and and dances like a dervish to keep you entertained.

Julia on sax leads our horn section and is a professional musician enjoying playing and teaching a variety of music including jazz and classical as well as performing with the Blues Brothers International.

You know who on trumpet has aspirations to be a professional musician but the money from the day job keeps him from his first love of playing 7 days a week with the Blues Brothers International.

Ian - keys - playing a quality Nord synthesiser to give that keynote Blues Brothers Hammond organ and Fender Rhodes electric piano sound on stage.  Just listen to that authentic Booker T sound.  Ian has offered to bring his Hammond organ out on stage if we send a lorry round to collect it - we can offer you that as an optional extra !

Dusty - bass  - plays a Lakland "Duck Dunn" precision bass through a black bass amp with a yellow label to give that authentic Blues Brothers sound. For legal reasons he cannot smoke a pipe on stage to create that Duck Dunn reminiscence.

Jed - guitar – a founder member of Blues Brothers International, plays a G&L Telecaster into a Torres hand wired clone of a Fender Bassman to give that authentic valve sound required for the Blues Brothers. And yes he enjoyed Russia in 2010 !

Rick - drums and backing vocals – a founder member of Blues Brothers International,  Rick is an accomplished musician, formerly a saxophonist who performed regularly at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, he eventually put aside his horn to take up his first loves of playing drums and singing. And he enjoyed Russia in 2010 !  See what Linda had to say about his drumming !

Note - please note that, in common with all bands and shows, in the event of non-availability of any musician/s described here, we reserve the right to field substitutes.
